Currently, green spaces are often concentrated in affluent areas, meaning the hottest parts of our cities are often the most paved and least green. Addressing this is not just an environmental goal; it is a matter of thermal justice. If we allow cooling to be managed solely through personal AC units, we will build cities that are thermally segregated.
Cooling as a Human Right
The transition toward a warmer UK requires a shift in how we view temperature.
